Messages on the Billpal page

Billpal shows these messages during sign-in, after ChatGPT or Claude has sent you to Billpal.

ChatGPT or Claude wants to reconnect

Changing or resetting your password disconnects every agent. Disconnecting under Settings > AI agents ends the connection too. In ChatGPT or Claude, follow the prompt to reconnect and sign in to Billpal again. Logging out in your browser doesn’t disconnect agents.

New tools are missing in ChatGPT

ChatGPT remembers the tools it saw when you connected. Open Billpal in ChatGPT’s settings, refresh the app, and start a new chat. A chat that’s already open keeps using the old tools.

The agent can’t find a workspace

The agent only sees workspaces you can open in Billpal yourself. If one is missing, check Settings > Workspaces in Billpal to see whether you’re still a member. If you were removed, ask an admin to invite you again.

The agent shows no plan or usage

Only the account owner sees plan and usage. If that’s not you, ask the account owner. They find it in Billpal under Settings > Billing.

You want the agent to change something

It can’t. The agent has read-only access. Editing documents, marking them paid, uploading, and exporting only work in Billpal itself.
